Spring has Sprung! - Fundraising With Flowers

Spring has Sprung!
The Wilmington Jaycees have a great fundraising opportunity available. We have joined a program offered through Spring Hill Nurseries. All we have to do is order plants! I have attached the catalog ... take a look and see if there are any items that you may like and/or pass it along to a friend, family member or co-worker. Of course, any landscapers that you know would be more than welcomed to order!
Spring Hill Nurseries is based in Ohio and has been a top-rated mail order garden center since 1849. They offer a No-Risk Guarantee. They guarantee all of their plants to be true to name and to reach you in perfect and healthy condition. If, for any reason, you aren’t pleased with any plant upon receipt, after planting or once it grows, just contact Spring Hill anytime – no time limit – for as long as you garden. No need to return any plant. They will refund every cent you paid for that plant or send you a replacement without charge – whichever you prefer.
The Wilmington Jaycees will receive 45% of the total sales AND with every $50 order we will earn a plant/garden collection for the Lake Waccamaw Boys and Girls Homes of NC, Inc. We will take the plants and plant them at the Jaycee cottage on our "Cottage Day" later this spring!
Spring Hill offers a complete and very detailed catalog and website; however the fundraiser catalog is attached. Please be sure to let everyone know that the smaller catalog is the only one that we will get credit for. When you have selected your items, email your order to WilmingtonNCJaycees@hotmail.com. It's that simple!! We will be placing the order on the 30th of March for the first order and the second order on April 15th.
Below is a check list for the orders:
o Checks need to be made out to the Wilmington Jaycees.
o Physical shipping addresses only. No PO Box addresses.
If you have any questions, please let me know!

Wilmington Jaycees In Jeopardy

WILMINGTON -- The Wilmington Jaycees are on the brink of shutting down. Membership in the longstanding and prominent community organization is at an all time low.
If the Jaycees don't get at least four more members by the end of February, the 68-year-old organization will close for good.
Members say that would be a devastating loss to the Wilmington area, especially the children they help through events every year.
The current members met Monday night to spearhead a new campaign to recruit new members. Seven years ago there were about 140 members. Now there are 16. The group needs 20 by the end of next month or they lose their charter.
They say many members have gotten married, moved, or become more involved in family life, but without the organization, they say the family events in Wilmington will suffer.
The annual Jaycee Easter Egg Hunt is one of the most popular events they hold. More than 3,000 kids flood Hugh MacRae Park with baskets and bonnets searching for almost 4,000 candy-stuffed eggs on Easter Sunday.
Current members say they would hate to see the group's impact die in Wilmington.
"If we're not here then some of the impact goes away, and so other people will find other things to do. But for us, we like what we do and we try to help out the community, and it's that one child and that one elderly person that looks forward to seeing us come by and help," said Daryl McNair.
The Jaycees are also known for their annual Christmas Kids charity where they take 20 kids to Wal-Mart for a Christmas shopping spree.
